Quite why this group is still relatively unknown is a mystery
to me, as in my opinion they`re grreat, the original and the
best. Their unique blend of `block rockin` beats` and hard-hitting
lyrics show why they are the cream of Manchester. The CD opens
with the track `I Can`t`; ninety seconds of pure genius that
will make you stop whatever you are doing and give their music
the attention it deserves. `Believe It`, while maybe not as
adventurous as the opener it still has a certain flair that
makes it another fine track. The last couple of tracks are
somewhat experimental; Butter 08 push back the boundaries
of modern music as if they were reinventing the wheel. `Snot`,
is a refreshing change to the previous tracks, a lighthearted
look at the absurdity of fashion. It is apparent that Butter
08 think that image is nothing. The final track, `Butter`
is a no nonsense tribute to the dairy product that gave them
their name. Any tune that puts the word polyunsaturated to
music is clearly a masterpiece. Butter 08 is a must buy album.
Just do it.
