The Ohio players have done themselves proud. They have produced an album that they should be ashamed of. Their mothers must be very proud. Their fathers probably hate it. But I think it's great. The verve and energy of the album give the tracks a lethargy that I can really relate to and which forms a soundtrack to my active lifestyle. Ever since I became bed-ridden last year I've listened to it non-stop and I recommend their dulcet vibe to anyone who wants an interesting, chilled, deadened and downright hot album. Their Jazzy vibe will have you Rock'n'Rollin' the night away. Highly recommended.

Contradiction is a truly unique album. The tempo is lively and vibrant throughout, leading to very new and refreshing sound. For once The Ohio Players have created an album that they can actually be proud of. The tracks are all fairly similar, and the opening track, `Juxtapose` is typical of the album`s groove, reassuring the listener that they will like what is to come. My favourite tune is the title track, `Contradiction`, which seems to fit effortlessly into the album as a whole. My only complaint is that most of the tracks are too slow. A couple being so lethargic that only a sloth would dig their groove. Another complaint is that there seems to be no theme running through the album. The style of each track varies enormously, often leaving the listener feeling completely lost in a jungle of noise. When I listened to the album I couldn`t shake off the feeling that I heard it all elsewhere. Contradiction is an ok album, but I doubt that The Ohio Players are particularly proud of it.
