Field eventers became more prominent in the rankings with Tom Gibb finishing 3rd in the Youth Triple Jump and 8th in the Long Jump. Tom capped off a successful year when winning the National Title in the Triple Jump with a jump of 12m 52cm. At the District Championships David Glencorse and Ann Rourke picked up the bronze medals in the Senior Men's Triple Jump and Junior Women's Long Jump respectively.

Another youngster emerged from the conveyer belt of talent, Billy Dickson finished 3rd in the Boys 1500m Steeplechase at the National Championships and also finished 3rd in the rankings. Anne Rourke made the rankings again in the Long Jump, making a 2cm improvement on last years performance.

Andy Brown, now a Veteran athlete, made the rankings yet again, finishing 20th in the 10000m with a time of 31mins 27.6secs.

However it was disappointing to see neither Ian McCafferty or Jim Thomson in the rankings this year. Unfortunately, having been at the top in Scotland and UK for a number of years Ian finally decided to hang up his spikes. When will the club, or Scotland, see the likes again?
