The year proved to be rather disappointing with many of the junior athletes moving into the Senior ranks. It was the first year in the last nine years that no medals were won at the National Championships, however David Glencorse did win the Long Jump title at the District Championships. Ann Dalton, now in the Senior Ranks added another medal to her ever growing collection, winning the Silver at he District Championships. Ann handled the transition very well, finishing 6th in both the 100m and 200m with times of 11.8scs and 24.8secs respecively. Linda Thomson showed slight improvement over the year finishing 13th in the Junior 800m rankings.

Kenny McCartney also made a successful transition to the senior ranks, improving his 800m time to 1min 53.7secs for 19th place and his 1500m to 3mins 49.3secs to make 14th place.
