As far as titles went, 1987 was a poor year with not
one title being won by a Law athlete, that being said it was encouraging to see
two new names appear in the rankings. Alan Ramage had a good season, finishing
3rd in the 3000m with a time of 8mins 39.5secs and 7th in the 1500m with a time
of 3mins 58.9secs. Debbie Kelly also appeared for the first time, finishing 3rd
in the Intermediate 800m with a time of 2mins 18.6secs. The other usual names
appeared in the rankings, Billy Nelson, Douglas Frame, Douglas Slater and
Alaister Russell.
