It was a record breaking year with no fewer than 23 athletes making the rankings, Alaister Russell made his 15th appearance in the rankings, Sam Armstrong topped the Javelin rankings and also entered the All Time Lists at number 4 and finally Frankie Murphy won a remarkable 9 Championship medals throughout the year.

Alaister Russell made a few appearances this year once again finishing 3rd in the 10,000m rankings with a time of 30mins 17.03secs, a time which also won him the bronze medal at the National Championships. He also finished 4th in the Half Marathon rankings with a time of 67mins 10secs.

Sam Armstrong, a recent recruit, threw consistently well throughout the season, winning the District Championships with a throw of 65m 31cm which topped the rankings. He also represented Scotland in the Leeds International where he finished 5th with a throw of 59m 86cm..

Frankie Murphy had an incredible year winning National Titles at 100m, Long Jump, Pentathlon and Indoor High Jump. At the Districts he won both the the 100m and Long Jump titles. In the rankings he finished 2nd in the 100m, 10th in the 200m, 18th in the 80m Hurdles, 3rd in the High Jump, 1st in the Long Jump and 1st in the Pentathlon.

Colin McMaster continued to dominate the High Jump topping the Under 20 Rankings and finishing 4th in he Senior Men. During the Indoor season, whilst competing for Great Britain he won the High Jump competition in a match against Germany and France.

There was still a continual flow of talented youngsters coming through with Ryan McAllister and Caroline McMorrow both making 3 appearances. Ryan finished the season ranked 9th in the 75m Hurdles, 4th in the High Jump and 14th in the Long Jump whilst Caroline finished 14th in the 75m Hurdles, 8th in the Long Jump and 10th in the Shot Putt, both winning  championship medals during the year.

Lisa Weldon made her fourth successive appearance in the rankings appearing in four events, 18th in the High Jump, 17th in the Long Jump, 17th in the Triple Jump and 10th in the Shot Putt.
