On many public holidays such as Independence day on the 6th March, students from schools often march as you can see above. The students are wearing white shirts and are being supervised by army personnel. At the back, just infront of the soldier, you can see a small boy following the marchers. Students will march around the sports field being watched by many of Lawra's dignitries such as the Chief and political leaders. Later they often march through the town.
