How to get Paid while you Surf the Web.
Pay as you Surf (Pays) schemes are the easiest way to earn money
from the internet. The idea is simple. You register with a scheme
and download a small piece of software usually called an "ad
bar" or similar.
When you surf the web, you run the software (together with your
browser) and it displays advertising banners usually at the top
or bottom of your screen. Each company has their own take on the
idea but generally it is the length of your screen and about the
same height as standard web banners.
While you surf the software logs your time online. Each scheme
is different but the end result is that time spent online with the
ad bar equates to money and this is paid to you. Generally you have
to accumulate a certain amount before they send you a cheque (average
is around £15) but they do send the money.
If you refer other people to these schemes you often receive extra
amounts for their time. That's the way to earn large amounts (but
don't spam) but even if you don't refer anybody you can still make
enough to pay your internet phone bill! Trying running several together
to rack up the cash faster.
How do these companies aford to give away cash? Easy! Advertising
- these things aren't called Ad bars for nothing!! Ads on websites
can be over looked but the Ad bars present advertisers with a "captive
audience". They pay for such direct marketing and the money
you earn comes from the advertising revenue acrued by the scheme.
The biggest and best PAYS - All Advantage - has over 5 million members
which is a big attraction for advertisers.
Many of the ad bars also offer search facilities, useful links
etc and maybe some of the ads will be of interest to you too.
