Web Advertising falls into two main categories. Banner Exchanges and paid adverts.

Paid Advertising is simply banner ads that are shown on your site for which you are paid usually per click through (when someone clicks on the ad) or occassionaly per impression (when each banner is shown).

A Banner Advertising company that is part traditional web advertising part Banner exchange. They will pay webmasters $0.10 per click through on banners rotated on your site. Hitbox provide a free stats service for websites in exchange for displaying a small banner on each page. This banner can be upgraded to a standard sized banner and you will earn $0.10 per click. This is an easy way of getting advertising on your site (without having to be veted by the large agencies) and you also get excellent statistical information on your sites traffic. Join Hitbox
Website Sponsors
Provide pay per click Banner Advertising. Reasonable pay out rates (better than Hitbox) and they accept smaller web sites (but as usual no porn or warez). Website Sponsors would make a good choice for the webmaster looking to host straight pay per click advertising. Join Website Sponsors.
