Almost every aspect of the marine environment is covered in this one book. From the property of sea water, Plankton biology, interactions between marine organisms (symbiosis). In fact a very good baseline introduction to marine biology for those wishing to explore the marine world in greater depth. I used this book for species recognition and information. Even includes a section on collecting and preserving seaweed and in some cases even cooking and eating it.
