Ingleton to Wasdale and Passes

The day started off bright and sunny and after a very good farmhouse breakfast I was away by 08:45 towards Kirby Longsdale on the A65 not the best road to cycle but the traffic was not to heavy at this time. Bought a film in Kirgy Longsadale where the chemist does not accept credit cards, but there are three cash m/c in the town.
As the weather was still fine I opted for the route over Wrynose and Hardknot passes this route also uses the ferry accross Lake Windermere for 40p. Just before starting the passes I was able to off load a considerable amout of luggage as Don Phillips also chose the pass route so the walks where some what easier than they would have been. Even so having started at little Langdale at 15:00 I did not reach Wasdale until 19:10 a little tired and weary.
