In order to make your stay with us an enjoyable experience please find set out below a list of conditions which we feel will save any misunderstanding by either parties.
1.When booking rooms we require a non-returnable £20 per night per room deposit to secure the reservation. We will accept most credit cards and also payment by cheque, which must have cleared prior to your date of arrival.
1a. Payment of your final balance on the day of your departure may also be made by credit card or cash. Long-term guests please note that weekly settlement day is Friday.
2.On arrival we require you to sign our registration book and supply us with your home address and car registration.
2aOverseas visitors must please supply us with their passport number, place of passport registration and next destination.
3.On the day of your departure, we request that you vacate your room by 11.00am.
3a.Early Departure.If you need to depart before breakfast (earliest 7.30 am) please settle your account the night before and depart via the emergency fire door at the bottom of the main stairs.Leave your key in your room.
4.Late night entry. If you wish to gain entry to the hotel after 12.30 am (00.30 hrs) a spare key can be arranged for you to gain entry via the emergency fire door. Please ask a member of staff prior to your going out for the night. On Sunday the hotel is closed between 4.00pm and 6.30pm but a key can be arranged if you wish to enter or exit during these times.
5.Alcoholic beverages. Residents are entitled to drink alcoholic drinks at any time but may we advise you that our bar will close down to residents 30 minutes after time has been called, ie.11.30pm on all nights except Sunday when it will be 11.00pm.You may of course take drinks to your room.
5a.Breakfast is served from 7.30am till 9.00am. A full English breakfast will be offered with tea or coffee and toast. If you have any other requirements i.e.vegetarian please advise us.
5b.We serve luncheon from 11.30am till 2.00pm and dinner from 6.30pm till 9.00pm. If you wish to reserve a table in our restaurant please advise us. This is highly recommended, especially at weekends and Monday and Tuesday nights.
6. CANCELLATION. In the event that you may have to cancel your room reservation, for whatever reason, we would be grateful if you would contact us at your earliest convenience prior to your arrival
If you give us such notice prior to 12.00 noon on or before the day of your intended arrival you will only forfeit any deposits paid.
If however you contact us after 12.00 noon we will expect to be paid in full for that day and meal accounts, if any. These charges will be debited to your credit card.
7.Transport.We can book taxis during your stay and airport transfers can be arranged. Transport for larger parties is also available.
8.News papers. Our newsagent will deliver most national papers if ordered before 8.00pm.
9. Safe deposit. You may deposit with us in a sealed envelope goods to the value of £1000.
10. Bar and restaurant accounts. These may be charged to your room and settled on your departure.
11.Children. This is a family friendly hotel and children are very welcome. Although we have no large family rooms we can provide Z-beds (1 per room) at a small charge.
Our extensive menu has a
junior section and some of the adult meals are available in smaller sizes. Please ask a member of staff. In the summer months we have an extensive outdoor play area where children can play with parental supervision. ’Children are welcome with well behaved parents’.12.Pets. We do not allow pets on the premises or in the children’s play area,except for guide dogs. Pets are welcome on the patio where drinking water is supplied.
13.Damage. In the unlikely event that we or any of our staff should cause any damage to you or your goods within the hotel we carry a comprehensive public liability insurance, which can be inspected at your convenience.If you or any member of your party should damage any property during your stay with us, please contact the management so that we may discuss any compensation due to the hotel. Any damage to cars or their contents parked on our car park how so ever caused are at your own risk.
14.Fire. The fire authorities have granted a fire certificate. Please read the fire information leaflet, which can be found on the rear of your bedroom door. On the 1st Sunday of each month at 10.00am we have a practice fire drill, so please be aware of the fire alarm sound at this time.
15.No Smoking Rooms. All our bedrooms (including shower and bathrooms) are designated as non-smoking and in consideration to other guests we must insist that the non-smoking signs be adhered to. If not we reserve the right to charge up to £100 for cleaning the soft furnishings which have been infiltrated with smoke. All our rooms are fitted with smoke detectors.
