And then it happened! Waters broken at 13:00, a bit of pushing, heaving and sweating and out came baby Meijboom at 20:43 (28 August 2005). With difficulties breathing baby and father were rushed to Acute Care for lungs and stomach to be drained of mucous. Baby spent the next 6 hours in an incubator.
