Mr Richard Gibbs the original founder of Gibbs Gears sadly passed away on Saturday 7 th of July 2007

Richard started the company 50 years ago and retried from Gibbs Gears in 1996.

He was a fine engineer and during his life he was very charitable helping lots of people in and away from the business.

He will be missed by his friends and family.

Gibbs Gears has recently purchased a new Wenzel analytical CNC Gear checker. We feel that the benefit of full CNC gear checking facilities will help deliver the quality that customers expect for the production of their transmission components.

The advantages are also evident when here is the need to reverse engineer from worm samples, which is a frequent customer requirement and currently time consuming.

The facility is also available to check hobbs, bevels, worms and wheels and this service can now be offered to customers who want to utilise the measurement facility, as a stand-alone service.
