Gibbs Gears are currently experiencing increased levels of work. As some other gear manufacturers have struggled, customers are switching their business to Gibbs based on their huge experience and high quality workmanship.
As a result, Gibbs have been taking on new employees in 2009. So far, we have taken on three specialists to support our CNC Milling, Turning and Gear Cutting operations.
As part of our commitment to growing the business, within both existing and new sectors, we have also taken on a new Field Sales Engineer. Neil Aston is a time served engineer with more than 15 years experience.

Gibbs Gears win new contracts
Gibbs Gears have recently won a series of new contracts, confirming their position as the leading gear manufacturer in the south of England.
New contracts include:
- Aerospace work with a leading landing gear manufacturer
- Prototype work on engine and gearboxes for JCB
- Prototype development work for Triumph, for the next generation of Triumph motorbikes
- Atlas Copco 3 Yr Contract - Planet wheels & pinions for Desoutter air tools
