Observations and Comments

  • The above named directors and the Company Secretary are responsible in law for the proper running of FSB affairs during periods variously reported upon on this website.

  • The constitutional position of those other directors who were not elected by members in general meeting is not clear.

The situation appears to give rise to cause for concern about possible improper patronage because a handful of people appear to have taken onto themselves the authority to appoint directors in meetings which are not published to members and to which the attendance of rank-and-file members is severely restricted.

  • It is not clear that the direct and indirect personal interests of FSB directors and shadow directors are properly declared.

  • It is clear that FSB directors have trade contracts with the FSB amounting to many thousands of pounds, without there being clear evidence that the trading terms are prudent and subject to proper competitive tendering to obtain 'best value' for the FSB and its members.
