A bright sunny day on the 25th of May !  The pictures below tell their own story of Mirage II being craned into the water.

The front of the boat was resting on a wheeled trolley. The fork lift truck was used to lift the stern and pull the boat out of the shed untill it was two thirds out.

The lift cables were attached and the the crane then swung the boat out of the shed.

She had to be swung high over the shell of the next boat due for fit out to be lowered into the canal.

She settles in the water and is checked for leakes. There were none :-)

The moment of touchdown. The folding windscreen has been folded down and the roof removed for safety whilst she was being craned.

A brief view from the other side, now with all of her windows fitted. She is listing slightly as she still has no cooker or engine.
