The early stages of the build by Jim at Alexancer boatbuilders show how he tacked plates inot shape and then asked for our assent. This extended the build time but ensured that we were happy with the shape that was new to both us and to Jim.

As you will see from the photograph above, we have gone for a flat  bottom with chines.

To give some idea of scale, Mary is standing by the boat. She is 5ft 6in tall, so you will see that the height to the gunnels is 60 inches.

This is the latest picture of the bow section. The serrated effect is only due to compressing the picture for the site and not to "carve" its way through the water. You can hopefully see the two level shape to the top of the bow. The side deck falls gently towards the stern and two thirds of the way down the boat also has a small step down.
