About ItalCorsa

In 1979 Jan & Jimmy met when she joined the sales team at the garage he was then employed at in South London. Shortly afterward the garage closed making them both redundant. Without a FIAT agent nearby many of the local FIAT owners approached Jimmy asking him to service their cars, and so after finding a suitable workshop, together with Jan, Jimmy set up in business repairing Fiat's & Lancia's

Looking for a small car to use as a "works van" Jimmy found an abandoned FIAT 500, and after he replaced the timing chain Jan used it every day as a run around. At first people used to laugh at the little car, but realising how cheap they were to run and how easy to park - the original city car - Jimmy was soon inundated with orders for similar cars.

Home By the beginning of the 1990's the Fiat 500 had become a cult, and with Jimmy's retirement approaching they decided to move from London to Hampshire in order to specialise in restoring this much sort after car. Now Jimmy is semi-retired, but still busy turning what is often a pile of rust into a pristine car whilst Jan sends spare parts for the car to enthusiasts all over the world.
