This shows a list of "BT" patches by MPE release. If you feel your system(s) could benefit from the installation of a "BT" patch and you have a valid HP support contract you can contact the Response Center to order the patch(es) you would like.

9th January 2005 MPE to Unix Commands Xref Select an MPE command from a list and the site will determine the closest equivalent HP-UX command, or the entire table can be viewed. 21st May 2003 HP's e3000 Transition program The relationship between HP and e3000 customers has been a long one, extending back through the 30-year life span of the MPE platform. In the final years of the e3000's support life, in spite of abandoning the platform, HP still wants to be your partner of choice as your company makes the transition to a new server platform. For the short term, HP is continuing to enhance the e3000, and will continue to do so until October 31, 2003.

CSY maintains the Jazz website and it includes free software (binaries and source code), pre-release material, technical white papers and other useful information for HP e3000 customers. Jazz is mostly a technical site and is updated regularly by MPE R&D lab personnel.

23rd August 1999 Phoenix 3000 As part of the resurgence of the HP 3000, Hewlett Packard noted the need for a new type of product-line for its MPE/iX customers. A segment of the market required price/performance points that were below the systems currently being manufactured, but with HP backing and quality. They needed, the same as new, but at reduced price/performance levels. This new product-line is called Phoenix 3000 and can be purchased from any of the more than 100 authorized resellers of new HP 3000s in North America.
23rd August 1999 3KWorld (Client Systems) This is the new HP3000-centric portal set up by Client Systems with backing from HP, WRQ, Phoenix/3000, Speedware and many others. This virtual community provides a single point of contact to access news, information, products and services tailored specifically to the needs and interests of HP 3000 Server users and suppliers for the Hewlett Packard 3000 platform.

3rd August 1999 Limits Document (MPE/iX 5.5) The information contained in this document describes the theoretical limits imposed by the MPE/iX System Software. In many cases, these limits were obtained by calculating the theoretical maximums based on the table or object's total size and entry sizes. 26th July 1999 ROC Software ROC Software has acquired several MPE products from TIVOLI. These products include: RoadRunner for MPE, DCM Pak, Maestro for MPE, Spoolmate and TapesPlus. ROC Software is a technical support and development company based in Austin, Texas, doing business since 1992. RS purchased Formation from Tivoli Systems at the end of 1998. The acquisition of these additional MPE products creates a "ROC Collection" that ROC Software plans to move forward with product enhancements and new releases.
13th July 1999 GUI/3000 GUI3000 is a new graphical front end for the HP3000 which is similar to the Windows "Explorer" or "File Manager" products. It works using Berkeley Sockets, supports multiple users and multiple hosts, and does not require sessions on the HP3000. It manages files, groups and accounts, provides information about your Turbo/Image databases, and establishes an interface to the HP3000 for carrying out commands.

25th June 1999 PCL Escape Codes (from HP) This site is HP's site listing PCL Commands, Basic Page Formatting, and Font Selection for HP Printers. PCL defines a standard set of commands enabling programs to communicate with HP or HP-compatible printers.
4th June 1999 BBiwY (Big Brother is watching You) The BBiwY system is intended for monitoring of sessions and the jobs executing on an HP3000 under MPE/iX written by Philippe Di Monte. It consists of two programs NETWATCH and IDLWATCH. Among other features, they can limit what programs can be executed by particular users and also logoff sessions after a set period of inactivity.
