This book has just about everything for the shore bass angler. It starts with chapters on the fish, its food and baits, then moves on to discuss tackle and various types of shoreline where bass can be found. Throughout, there are lots of examples and anecdotes from Mike and Alan's experiences. Towards the end of the book there is a particularly good section where specific venues are considered in more detail with plenty of photos and sketches, explaining how the authors fish them.
By 2000, the first edition had become scarce and expensive. A second edition was
published in 2003, containing an extra chapter entitled 'Still Hooked on Bass!',
bringing the text up-to-date. There is discussion of braid, surface plugs and
fly-fishing. |
