The Challenge of Light Tackle
I found this book particularly fascinating, as I was beginning to use various light tackle techniques for sea angling myself. I had got as far as using a freshwater Avon style rod for spinning and floatfishing from the rocks into deeper water, but Green takes this much further - even to pole fishing in the sea!

After reading this, I read more about pole fishing and tried it for myself, catching mackerel and pollack from local rock marks on small barbless hooks. It turned out to be a good way to introduce my three year old to fishing as well, courtesy of some mini pollack that live under a local pier. With less line to tangle, and no reel to operate she soon got the hang of it. For anyone looking for a different approach, there's plenty to think about in this book.
