Looking down over the City of Lincoln, the cathedral is one of the oldest in Britain dating from 1075, it was largely rebuilt 100 years later following an earthquake and is now one of the finest examples of it's kind in Britain.

The cathedral is featured in the recent Blockbuster movie 'The Da Vinci Code' starring Tom Hanks.

At the time the Club was formed the north of the area was known as Humberside. Combined with the county town of Lincolnshire the Club derived it's name.

The Humber Suspension Bridge spans the river Humber to connect Lincolnshire on the South bank with Yorkshire on the North and was completed in 1981 just as the Club was founded. Until 1998 it was the longest span of it's type in the world with a main span of 4,625ft. However, the bridge still holds the record for the longest single span suspension bridge in the world.
