Je'Toth the Foul, in Beast-drawn Chariot

Quick! To the cosmetics counter!

About the Model

Je'toth's noisome chariot (what the hell does 'noisome' mean, anyway) is based on an extended Snotling Pump Wagon, with the chariot yoke from Grom the Paunch's chariot. Because Grom's chariot is drawn by three wolves, with one in the centre, its yoke is ideal for chariots drawn by monsters and suchlike- in this case the two Beasts. The chariot body was extended with pieces of thick card (the sort used for old Magic Item and Chaos Gift cards is ideal) and wheel blades were added from the 'dozer blades of an Imperial tank.

Crew and Beasts

Je'toth himself is a basic Chaos Sorcerer model, picked for his bloated, jowled appearance and broad, flat base. I made sure to emphasise the various sores and pustules when painting to make him look as ill a possible. His chariot driver is a plastic Zombie, with a scythe to represent a halberd. The Beasts were deliberately painted in a quite messy fashion, using pale, sickly colours. A slime trail for the Beasts was made by dribbling PVA glue onto the base before the chariot was attached.

Using Je'toth

Je'toth is a bit of a pain to field in WHFB because his Beasts push up his cost considerably. I usually use him as some sort of Chaos Sorcerer of Nurgle, with protective Gifts like Cloud of Flies. His chariot is actually quite fast due to the randon D6+2" 'bound' move, but this also gives it a distressing tendancy to head straight for the enemy when you want to hold it back.....
