Nightingales is situated in the village of Kingston Near Lewes at the foot of the South Downs along a quiet road, and is surrounded by beautifully kept gardens of 3/4 acre. Exotic tender plants are housed in the conservatory where tea is happily provided. A footpath leads from a back gate to the South Downs Way.
The rooms are en-suite, and very comfortably fumished and a wide range of thoughtful extras from fresh fruit and sherry, to chocolate and fresh flowers are provided. Dinner is not available but Jean is happy to advise on local restaurants.
From the A27 Ashcombe Roundabout to the west of Lewes take exit signposted to Kingston, follow narrow road over the hill and then turn right immediately after the 30 mph sign in the village. The house is second from the far end of 'The Avenue' on the righthand side.
