River Tyne
The stretch in situated at Newburn, on the outskirts of Newcastle to the West. This can be a good dace fishery in the winter months. The quality of the fishing in improving all the time as the river recovers from the effect of Kielder releases a few years ago.
Killingworth Lakes
There are two lakes, the smaller still holds some good tench to over 4lb, roach and rudd, but the pike in the water were wiped out by argulus fish lice in 1999. This occurred at the same time as Queen Elizabeth II lake at Ashington was effected.
The large lake didn't seem to suffer as badly from the argulus lice, with only a couple of deaths reported. This is the only TAA water with a proven head of pike, pike to over 20lb recently reported. It also holds Carp to over 20lb, perch to over 2lb, tench to over 4lb, as well as roach and and a few rudd.

Throckley Reigh
This water is a couple of miles to the West of Newcastle. It is only a small water but a lot of anglers got their first taste of corse fish on this water, including myself. I used to get some good bags of half pound perch and a few roach, it helped get me hooked on fresh water fishing. The water still perch and roach, it has held pike in the past though it isn't known if any are still present.
Lakeside
Situated near Jarrow, this is a good mixed fishery with double figure carp and a big head of roach. This water is set up with match pegs and is used for competitions on a regular basis. It is situated behind a pub Membership of the TAA does not allow members to fish other TAA members waters. For more information try there website (see links page).
