Staines Hockey Club have a thriving colts set up which will appeal to budding hockey stars from 6 years (year 1) through to 14 years (year 9). The Club has 19 EHA qualified coaches.
The colts have a coaching / playing session every Sunday morning from 09.30 to 12.30 starting on 11th September 2005 and running through until mid-April 2006.
Coaching for boys and girls aged between 11 and 14 years will be from 09.30 to 11.00. The boys and girls will play in seperate leagues and there are additional games arranged throughout the season.
We are continuing to run a midweek session for all age groups every Tuesday evening starting on 13th September from 6.30 till 7.30. Players will be encouraged to take part in the Sunday sessions and games if possible.
The 6 - 10 years olds will have coaching from 11.00 to 12.30. Some games will be arranged during the season for those players that are confident and match competent. We are aware that the very young colts (years 1 - 3) may not want to participate in games and they will not be forced into competitive hockey until they are ready to do so.
