Staines 6 Enfield 0 (Middlesex Cup).

Staines dominated the play in their home match against Enfield to get a convincing win to take them through to the next round of the cup. Staines took the lead through a short corner goal with an excellent strike from Mel Attfield. The second came from midfielder Sue O'Connell , another short corner worked well and Sue struck the ball home from the left post position. The third came from another short corner which was passed around and scored by Kerry Maskery. Sarah Chandler excelled in the second half and scored 2 goals leaving Jo Strudley to get the sixth with a wonderful volley in the net after a reverse stick flick by Mel Attfield. With a mix around in the team for the final game before Christmas Staines showed great strength and look forward to a break over the festive period. Staines play a friendly against Basingstoke at home on 5th January before the league starts again on 12th January.
