Former City boss, Gudjon Thordarson is now managing the Norwegian club IK Start. Firmly rooted to the bottom of their league, they need a real fight back to avoid relegation. Gudjon got them off to a good start with a 2-0 win against Odd in what appeared to be his first game in full control.

However since that win IK Start have only picked up one point in five games. The most notable result was a 7-0 defeat at Lillestrom where former Stoke player Rikki Dadason bagged a hat-trick! There was more woe for Gudjon in the last home game against Rosenborg. With ten minutes to go IK Start took the lead, but could not hang on for the crucial points. Amazingly they conceded 2 goals in the last minute to slump to defeat. They are now 10 points adrift of safety.
