Taunton Ministox Club
Taunton Ministox Club race MARDAVE 1/12th scale radio controlled racing cars ( Mardave V12 Megane ) on a carpet track using standard motors and batteries. No special modifications are allowed to keep costs down. These cars are extremely robust and spare parts are cheap, so running costs are low. Car to car contact is allowed and encouraged for fun racing. Mardave V12 racing cars have quick release bodyshells and a wide choice of replacement bodyshells can be bought for a few pounds, Ford Escort, Capri, Porsche 911, Renault Clio, new Mini, Peugeot 205 and many more so you can personalise your car - and of course paint it any colour you choose.
We also race 1/18th trucks, mostly race Team Associated RC18T/B 4wd trucks and buggies, ( click here for 1/18 cars info ), the 1/18 cars are run as a fun class on a circuit with ramps and jumps. We run a points league for trucks, and we have a list of recommended rules, which we hope people will stick to, but if people want to bring along any 1/18 car to race as a visitor, then that is fine.
