<body topmargin=0 leftmargin=0 marginheight=0 marginwidth=0> <table cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 border=0><tr> <td valign="top" rowspan="2" width=215 BGCOLOR="#CC0000" TEXT="#080000"> <div> I entered two lorries in the Barnard Castle Truck Show soon after I arrived home from a stint in Dubai. I had been looking forward to it as it was only the second time this year we have actually had the lorries out. I managed to sneak away from work early on the thursday before the bank holiday and get the trucks out of the garage and wash and steam them down prior to loading them on the step frame. I do not know why but I loaded the ERF unit cab forward on the swan neck and Mildred behind on the deck. Bright and early on the saturday my Grandson Conner and I drove down the yard ready for the journey to Barnard Castle, when I arrived I thought the ERF looked a bit high and on throwing a tape against her found it to be nearly 16ft I decided to turn her round. Off came Mildred and I drove the ERF off then turned to reverse it up the ramps. We arrived about 1030</div> <div> and off loaded Mildred and drove her up the hill to the Vintage lorry section. We parked her up and started to give her a bit</div> <div> of TLC, cleaned the windows, polished the cab ect. I was a little disappointed there was not more vintage lorries but the new</div> <div> type lorries and trucks were certainly well represented.
