Situated in the peaceful rolling countryside 8 miles inland from Padstow, Bryn Cottage has bright, stunning views across open fields and farmland to the nearby hamlet of St. Wenn and Bodmin beyond.

This self catering character conversion occupies the upper ground floor of a traditional Cornish stone farm building.

Accommodation

The property was completely refurbished throughout in 2009. Through the glazed entrance is a generous hallway, off which lies the cosy beamed lounge/dining room, with feature working stone fireplace. With windows on three sides and its first floor elevated position, this is a light and airy room with magnificent views across the garden and valley beyond.

The lounge has a 32” wide-screen colour television with freeview, DVD player, video and music centre.

The new galley-style kitchen is comprehensively equipped and includes oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine, coffee maker, toaster and kettle. 

Bryn sleeps 4 people in comfort with one bedroom having a king-sized bed, clock radio and hairdryer, and the other being twin-bedded.

The cottage is heated throughout. The spacious and modern bathroom has a bath with electric shower and additional heated towel rail.

All electricity, heating, bedding, towels, kitchen linen and basic household essentials are provided included in the cottage rental. Beach towels and fuel for the open fire are not included. A travel cot (excluding bedding) and high chair are available upon request.

Location

The cottage lies in an ideal position for touring Cornwall, being within easy reach of both the North and South coasts and their many magnificent beaches. Click here for aerial photo showing lovely rural location. It is within 10 minutes of both the A30 and A39 and the far west coast at Land's End is an easy day trip.

Newquay airport is just 15 minutes drive away and car hire is readily available.

The attractive nearby town of St. Columb Major (3½ miles) has all the essential facilities, including a pretty church, supermarket, banks, post-office, chemist and pubs.

Local Attractions

The popular Eden Project is only 10 miles away, while the seaside locations of Padstow and Newquay are both less than 15 minutes by car. The bustling towns of Wadebridge, Bodmin and Truro are just 9, 13 and 19 miles respectively.

The Tate Gallery and Hepworth Museum of St. Ives, the Lost Gardens of Helligan and the Cornish Maritime Museum at Falmouth are just a few examples of the magnificent attractions worth a visit in the area.
