102.0 Galaxy 102

Independent, local. Dance music. "The Beat of Manchester". The new replacement for Kiss 102. Not hugely different from the late Kiss 102. General commercial dance music during the day, with specialist shows at nights and weekends including the Ministry of Sound show on Thursday evenings 8 - 10pm. Many of the Kiss DJ's have kept their original slots. News is broadcast at ten to the hour and is known as 10-2 news, very clever. Still waiting for www.galaxy102.co.uk to be launched.

Independent, local, from Stockport. Great songs from the 80's and 90's for South Manchester and Cheshire. Has now dropped the "Cheshire" in its name and calls itself "104.9 and 96.4FM Signal". Also changed its RDS ident to SIGNAL, and has started broadcasting the TP traffic flag.
