Sunday 18 July 2004.
Menu for a Beautiful Sunny Day.

Strawberry jam, Clotted Cream, Home Made Scones, with a cup of tea was served to over 100 senior citizens. Entertained with a fine selection of music by the Midsomer Norton Silver Band, led by Keith Haines, the annual event provided by the club was organised by the Welfare Chairman, Phil Hathway.
Held in the garden of Sheila and Chris Jones, the refreshments were provided by the Lions Ladies with waiter service by club members.
President John Whittock thanked Sheila and Chris for the use of their beautiful gardens, Lions ladies and fellow Lions for their help and St John Ambulance for their reassuring presence. Of course the Band who played exceedingly well, made the afternoon. President John thanked them for their contribution and thanked Lion Phil for his organisation.
During the afternoon, President John presented to Sheila Jones, a cheque for £200.00 following a Jumbulance appeal to Lions by the HCPT Pilgrim Trust. This will help disabled children and adults, accompanied by 14 helpers and nursing staff, to be taken to Lourdes.
