NEWS on our joint project with Chateau Gontier

Our annual joint meeting with Chateau Goniter, was held on Saturday, 19th May, at the Jolliffee Arms, Kilmersdon.
The current project, helping the village of Port Sarene, has been led by Chateau Contier.  Together with our twin club, we have funded the production of simple wood burning stoves.  These, by, containing heat, make the fires much more efficient, reducing the amount of firewood that has to be collected by 60 to 70% and thus improving quality of life for the villagers.  A truly appropriate use of technology in this setting.  40 stoves were produced last year, followed by a further 40 this year.
