BATH SILVER RING &
CANTANDO CHOIRS CONCERT
SATURDAY 30 OCTOBER 2004

Internationally acclaimed choirs Silver Ring (Bath) and Cantando (Holland), gave us a wonderful concert. Under conductors Grenville Jones and Paul Waerts, the choirs sang both in Dutch and English from their varied repertoire of classical choral, spirituals, fold songs and popular melodies. Soloist Claire Marson sang with great composure adding to the evening’s enjoyment. Church organist, Douglas Richings, opened the evening playing from his fine range of music on the new church organ.

Lion President John Whittock thanked the choirs for their superb performances, St. John Ambulance for their attendance, fellow Lions for their organisation of the evening, and the church ladies for supplying the interval refreshments. Thanks were given to the sponsors, Bluebells, Bearberry Club, Paperwork Plus and Performance Sports for their support.

Proceeds for the concert are in aid of Lions Local Charities. The club thank all those who supported this event with a capacity audience which the choirs fully appreciated. Proceeds from the concert exceeded £800.
