Further Development

If you've got this far you will have learnt how to create a basic web page, and you've probably learnt enough HTML for now!!

By Raouf Allim

Congratulations! You now know how to create a web page the hard way. The major gap in your knowledge is in the use of tables, a very important way of controlling positioning on the page. However, it is very difficult, when you are starting out, to visualise the result of the HTML codes for tables. If you are brave, then have a look at the  codes. Otherwise, now would be a good time to try out a WYSIWIG HTML editor!!

At this stage it would be a good idea to sit back and think on what design features you would like for your page, and the additional tags which you would have to learn achieve them.

You can learn a lot by viewing the code behind some web pages that you have found on the Internet, to see how the designers have achieved their objectives.

I include some links to HTML references and sites that specialise in teaching HTML.
