Mr Toffee has recovered well from the surgery and in February started his new diet in an aim to get him to loose weight. He started as a fat hog at 682grams and after eating Diet cat food with no worms or treats he lost 100g in the first 4 weeks of the diet. I have been feeding him a mix 1/3 of his old kitten food and 2/3 of hills diet adult cat food which only has 8% fat.

After 2 months Mr Toffee is a much better size and looks much healthier. At this time he weighed 535grams and I start treating him again with crickets.

After 3 months he know weighs 450grams and has reached a plateau. He is eating 100% hill’s diet cat food which has 8% fat and 30% protein, just right for an adult APH. He looks much better and smaller and good news for him, he is back to being treated with meal worms but still isn’t keen on people food.

His fur has all grown back and a few of the spines have as well. He is much more active and friendly too. Mr Toffee has recovered very well : )

As you can see in the photo to the left he has a scar where the lump was removed but it has healed wonderfully.
