Hello my name is Mr. Toffee
Here you will find information and pictures about my pet African pygmy hedgehog; Mr Toffee. I adopted him in March 2008 from a family who migrated to Australia. I was lucky to get in contact with the previous owners aunt who was looking for someone to take care of Mr Toffee. His previous owner Michael, 12, has recently been for a visit to Station House and has officially approved of Mr Toffees home with me.
He is a grumpy little fellow with plenty of character, he always makes me smile. He is a bit of a model so check our the gallery for some of his best shots. If you haven’t heard of having a hedgehog for a pet its because taking a British hedgehog from the wild is illegal and they are protected by the Queen. Tame pet hedgehogs are relatively new in the UK, its only been a few years since they came over from America - despite being African! If you are interested in caring for one, check out the APH forum for reputable breeders.

Mr Toffee aka
Hedgie Pig, Mr T, Grumpy bum.
I made Emily my best friend in March when she decided she would look after me. She makes sure my little home is nice and clean & also that I get plenty of food. My absolute favourite are mealworms & I love to hunt around looking for them. I would eat hundreds if she would let me!
