Japan for the Impoverished

Perhaps the most fascinating city in Japan is KYOTO, so here are scanned pages of the whole Kyoto section (pages 244 to 258) from Japan for the Impoverished in both HTML and PDF form. They are about 1.5Mb so may take several minutes to download if you are using a phone line.

A one-page colour map of Tokyo's subways from Japan for the Impoverished is also provided in both HTML and PDF form.

The HTML forms of these files can be accessed with the browser you are already using, but when they are printed the page ends will probably divide some of the graphics. The PDF forms are better but require Adobe's Acrobat Reader software to view or print. If this isn't already installed on your computer, you can download it free from Adobe's site. Before attempting to access either of the large PDF files above, you might like to test your computer's capabilities by trying to view this small test file.
